georgia
Georgia is a senior chihuahua mix. She was adopted in 2022 from Transitions Pet Care, a nonprofit committed to serving the pets of people who are terminally ill, chronically ill, injured, or elderly. Georgia loves long walks, meeting new people, and belly rubs. She especially enjoys exploring the woods and going to markets. Georgia’s favorite toys are small teddy bears, and her favorite snack is a toss up between dog biscuits and peanut butter – she would prefer both (and firmly believes that it should always be both.)
Georgia was certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs in spring 2023 (proof that it’s never too late for a new adventure). She regularly visits local nursing homes, hospitals, hospice patients, and behavioral health centers. Georgia really enjoys going to big events and meeting new people. A gentle soul, Georgia has a soft spot for children, seniors, and anyone who seems to need a friend. |
